Can I keep my old phone number if I switch to internet phone service?

Most numbers are transferrable. First, find out if your home number or business number can be transferred to Ooma. If so, make sure you keep your current phone service connected until the transfer have been completed. Select a new temporary number for your Ooma service, then submit a request to Ooma to transfer (or port) your current number to Ooma. Porting your existing number might take a week or two. Once your number has been ported, you can cancel your old phone service.
