Estimate how much time it takes for various tasks performed by each team member, not just the dentist, so your scheduler can coordinate patient appointments to make the most efficient use of each team member’s time. Ask patients for permission to communicate via text so you can send them reminders a couple of days before their appointment to avoid wasted time slots. And reminder phone calls the day before an appointment, even if the scheduler only leaves a voice message, are a good way to reduce no-shows.
